
Malkangiri, 7/4/26: An important review meeting has been held today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Arvind Rajashirke to speed up the development process of the district. In this meeting, the progress of various projects under the Project Monitoring Unit and progress was discussed in detail. In the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the transport, industrial and irrigation sectors of the district. The District Magistrate advised on the current status of the railway project and taking necessary steps to complete it soon. Also reviewed was the status of the proposed cement factory and the work progress of the under-construction high-level bridges aimed at promoting industrialization in Malkangiri. Apart from this, the District Collector has directed to complete the Govindapally Integrated Irrigation Project, expansion of mobile network in the district and construction of roads within the stipulated time. Each project has a specific deadline or date set. He told the officials that the work can be completed properly only if there is good coordination between the various departments. In this review meeting, Malkangiri Bankhand Officer Sai Kiran D.N., Additional District Collector Rajswa Vedbar Pradhan, Deputy District Collector Duryodhan Bhoi and senior officials of various relevant departments were present and gave their respective reports.
