Malkangiri, 16/4/26: A grand Subhadra Shakti Women Empowerment Awareness Walk was successfully held today from Malkangiri District Collector’s office premises to Kult Bhawan. Organized with the aim of social change and empowerment of women, the program was launched by the district council chairperson Samari Tangulu and the district mayor Nagash Arvind Rajashirke. After the march, an awareness meeting was held at Kultur Bhawan, where the District Collector and District Council Chairperson addressed the women present. On the occasion, the District Collector highlighted the importance of women’s power and said that the confidence and unity of women is the real strength of a prosperous society. Through Subhadra Yojana and Mission Shakti, we are committed to empowering every woman economically and socially. Similarly, District Council Chairperson Mrs. Tangulu appreciated the contribution of women and said that when a woman is empowered, the entire family and society progress. This walk has brought a new confidence to the mothers and sisters of Malkangari. In this program, Deputy District Collector Duryodhan Bhoi, District Social Welfare Officer Gauri Naik and District Project Coordinator of Odisha Jika Mission Harshananda Pradhan were present and informed the women about various government schemes. During the march and the subsequent meeting, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the women, which will help build a strong and progressive Malkangari in the days to come.
