Under the chairmanship of Nuapada District Collector Madhusudan Das, the review meeting of the District Urban Development Authority (DUDA) has been held in the district collector’s conference room. The meeting reviewed the implementation of the three NACs of the district – Nuapada, Khadiyal and Khariar Road. Detailed discussions were held on revenue collection, solid waste management, PMAY (Urban) and implementation of Chief Minister’s Urban Development Plan (MSBY). District Chief Development Officer and Duda Project Director Lambodar Dharua presented the work progress and financial data of various NACs. In terms of holding tax collection, Nuapada NAC has taken the first place in the state and Khadiyal NAC has taken the second place while Nuapada district is at the first place in the state. The holding tax collection of Nuapada NAC was set at Rs 39.12 lakh and Rs 54.16 lakh has been collected which is 138 percent of the target. Similarly, for Kharia NAC Rs 35.86 lakh has been earmarked and Rs 48.58 lakh has been collected which is 135 percent of the target. Khariar Road NAC has also achieved 62 percent target. Nuapada district ranks first in the entire state on the basis of tax collection held by all three NACs. In the meeting, Nuapada NAC Executive Officer Sandeep Kumar Chandrakar, Khadial NAC Swatchanda Maharana was promoted to district mayor. On this occasion, District Collector Madhusudan Das congratulated the Executive Officers of Nuapada and Khadyal NAC and their team. The District Collector said that this is just the beginning and there is still a long way to go. He said that it should be everyone’s aim to increase the prestige of the district by making more efforts in the current financial year. The meeting was attended by Sandeep Kumar Chandrakar, Executive Officer of Nuapada NC, Swatchandar Maharana of Khadiyal NC, Kamalsan Rath of Khariyar Road NC along with officials of city development and various departments.
