
Baripada, (25/04): “District Level Odiya Entrepreneur-A Smart Odisha Hackathon 3.0” has been held under the STARS program by the District Education Department in the premises of Women’s College in Baripada. In this program, students showcased their talent with 21 innovative projects selected by IIT Bhubaneswar. Mr. Rajesh Kumar Pradhan, Deputy Secretary, CHCI, Mayurvanj, Chief Guest, Regional Office of Higher Secondary Education, North Odisha Regional Office, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Pradhan, Maharaja Srirachandrabhanj International School Baripadar M.C. A. Head of Department Professor M. Hemabindu, Additional District Education Officer Mr. Gautam Kumar Pote and Chairperson of the said college Meenakshi Mohanty attended as the guest of honour. The program was coordinated by the District Science Visitor Mr. Wisnanranjan Acharya while Senior Teacher of Rairangpur Government High School Ranjan Kumar Nanda conducted the stage. In the various innovative project exhibition competitions organized, the AI-Chatbot project by OAV, Gurudavasha student Dibyashti Das and team, Auto Grid X project by Tanmay Puthal of OAV, Sanshol, Shamakhunta and the Fold X project by Jay Kumar Mahanth of OAV, Chandua, Kulliyan stood first, second and third respectively. as selected by the judges. All the top three teams received certificates and cash prizes from the guests:- 200000, 15000 and 10000 rupees respectively. The top three projects have also been selected to represent Mayurbhanj district in the state level hackathon. Similarly, Waste Management Project of Jyoti Kumari Sahu of OAV, Garudabsa and Kai Pimpu Project of CP Higher Secondary School, Sonali Pangar also bagged 4th and 5th position respectively. In the said event, engineer Soumyanranjan Mishra from IIT Bhubaneswar, Mr. Thathambar Sahu, founder of Bazaarside Private Limited and Rotarian Neeraj Kumar Panda, president of Mayurbhanj Chamber of Commerce, rated the projects. District Education Officer Punchandra Sethi congratulated all the students and guide teachers for this success and expressed that this is a new chapter in the field of education in Mayurbhanj district. In this exhibition, teachers Manoj Kumar Parida, Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Vishmadev Mahant, Basant Kumar Dutt, Deepak Ram, teachers Atsi Kundu, Mausumi Dixit and junior assistant Dev Prasad Kar, all the faculty and staff of the said college contributed to the success of the program.
