Malkangiri, 15/5/26: An important police-magistrate high level coordination meeting has been successfully held at the Malkangiri District Security Superintendent’s office in order to control the prevailing law and order situation in the district, create a crime free environment and further strengthen social cohesion among the people. Malkangiri District Magistrate and District Magistrate Arvind Rajashirke presided over this long-term important meeting in the direct presence of Security Superintendent Vinod Patil and Additional District Magistrate Rajsab Vedbar Pradhan. In this high-level administrative review, the Tahsildar (Executive Magistrate) of all sub-districts of the district and all police station officials have prepared a blueprint for joint administrative and police action. In this meeting, various important issues related to contemporary internal security of the district were thoroughly reviewed and many tough decisions were taken. Tahsildars will be provided with full police force, especially during the survey of public or private land, so that there is no disturbance or law and order situation in the local area. Apart from this, zero tolerance policy will be adopted against the land mafia who are illegally encroaching on the government land and the encroachment will be released by joint action. The police patrolling system has been made more active in every rural area and the safety of women and children has been given top priority and immediate action has been taken against their complaints. Similarly, it has been decided that a special task force will work to prevent human trafficking through the internal and border areas of the district. In view of the sensitivities of the district, a strict approach has been taken against anti-social elements that disturb peace in the society. If the mob takes the law into their hands and attacks anyone on the basis of rumors or any suspicion, they will be arrested by a shanty and large village meetings will be held to alert the people. Apart from this, conversion cases and sensitive cases like cow-slaughter or illegal cow-trafficking will be strictly suppressed so that there is no chance of any communal tension in the society. Through this coordination meeting, the Malkangari District Governor Arvind Rajshirke gave a very beautiful and inspiring call to the society by giving a message of peaceful coexistence to the entire Malkangari district through this coordination meeting. “Peace, friendship and mutual brotherhood are the true strength of our society. Any conflict cannot be resolved through violence, but through discussion and legal process. Protecting the safety and social order of every citizen of Malkangari district is our highest priority. Let us all come together to create a healthy, safe and To lead towards creating a society free from fear and to maintain goodwill among each other.” This joint meeting has further doubled the confidence of the people of the district towards the administration and the police. The administration has made it clear that development and progress are possible only in a peaceful environment and for this the cooperation of the people of the district is essential.
