
Special Intensive Revision-SIR 2026 program has been officially started in Nuapada district. In this context, all the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the district will go door to door and distribute and collect the Enumeration Form from today till June 28, 2026. On the occasion of the launch of the programme, Hon’ble MLA Jay Dholakia of 71-Nuapada Assembly Constituency was given the enumeration form by the concerned booth level officials. Upazilapal and Election Registration Officer (ERO) Mrs. Surmi Soren, Deputy District Collector Sheikh Naseem and other officials were present on the occasion. The upazilapal went door to door with the BLOs to distribute the enumeration forms and sensitized the voters about the purpose and process of revising the special electoral roll. The main objective of the SIR process is to make the voter list more accurate, error-free and up-to-date. Through this, the names of eligible citizens will be added to the voter list and the dead, transferred and second registrations will be identified and corrected. Voters are requested to cooperate by providing correct and complete information while going home to BLOs. It is worth noting that more than 95 percent voter mapping work has been completed in both the assembly constituencies of the district. 95.63 percent of the 71-Nupapada Assembly constituency and 95.51 percent of the 72-district Assembly constituency have been successfully completed. According to this process, the list of Khasada voters will be published on July 5. Claims and objections will be received from July 5 to August 4 and the final voter list will be published on September 6. The district administration has called upon the people of the district not to believe any rumors or misleading information related to SIR and only rely on the information obtained by the Election Commission and the district administration.
