Malkangiri, 07 June 2026: Marathon preparations have been started by the Malkangiri district administration to make the upcoming elections transparent and orderly. Voter awareness program has been held today in various blocks of the district along with a large scale review meeting. 147- An important meeting was held in Mathil block under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate and ERO Somnath Pradhan to speed up the election process of Chitrakonda Constituency. It reviewed the progress of voter registration form distribution and special information registration and a doubt clearing session was conducted to clear all the doubts of the field staff. The meeting was attended by Matheli Vidyo, Assistant District Election Officer and Nodal Officers. On the other hand, in Chittagong block, negligence in election work is not tolerated. The booth level officers and supervisors whose performance was less than 50 percent, Chittagong video, Tehsildar and Additional Tehsildar reviewed with a strict approach and gave clear instructions to take immediate improvement in the work. To alert the voters, 146-Malkangiri Constituency Deputy Commissioner and ERO Duryodhan Bhoi descended on Autuma Maidan. Chonab workshops were organized today at X Board Higher Primary School and B.B. Guda Government Higher Primary School in Malkangari. Through this program, local people are educated about voter registration and their rights in a democracy.
