Baripada | Date: 13/12/2025: On the 4th day of the All-India T-20 Cricket Tournament organized under the auspices of Late Kat Club at Prafullanagar, Baripada, the first semi-final match was played. In this match, Kolkata’s LRS team defeated Bhubaneswar’s LRS team by 5 wickets to secure a place in the final. Batting first, Bhubaneswar’s TCC team scored 161 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Vinay Paikaray top-scored with 80 runs, while Ramchandra Behera contributed 29 runs. From the opposition, Akash Ghatak, Arka Sarkar, Rishabh Choudhury, and Akhilesh Yadav took 2 wickets each. In reply, Kolkata’s LRS team successfully chased the target, scoring 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 15.4 overs. Rohan Rathi scored 52 runs, Ashwani Khatel added 38, and Rishabh Choudhury contributed 24 runs. From Bhubaneswar’s side, Basukinath Tiwari took 2 wickets. Rishabh Choudhury was adjudged Man of the Match. Ward No. 25 Councillor Debashish Patra, Srikant Behera, and Diptesh Tripathy attended as chief guests and inaugurated the match, congratulating the players. Among others present were committee president Girish Chandra Das, executive president Lalatendu Behera, vice-president Damodar Karan, secretary Deepak Kumar Dash, joint secretary Lakshmidhar Nayak, Samarjit Goswami, and Ajay Singh. In the second semi-final match, Rourkela defeated Sambalpur by 7 runs to enter the final. Batting first, Rourkela scored 156 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Deepak Mahat scored 84 runs, while Aman Yadav added 23. For Sambalpur, Titu and Dina Das took 2 wickets each. Chasing the target, Sambalpur were bowled out for 149 runs in 17.5 overs. Arbind Singh scored 46 runs and Vivek Kumar contributed 38 runs. From Rourkela’s bowling attack, Swap Bhuyan took 4 wickets, Gautam Suna claimed 3, and Ankit Kar Jaishwal took 2 wickets. Deepak Mahat was named Man of the Match. Social workers Kashinath Rana and Narottam Mahant attended as guests and encouraged the players. The matches were officiated by Samarpreet Pradhan, Biswambar Mahakud, and Indrajit Prasad, while Sourajit Sahu assisted with scoring. Commentary was provided by Suresh Sandil, Bubu Sinha, and Pankaj Mahakud. According to media coordinator Somanath Singh, the final match between Kolkata and Rourkela will be played on Sunday.
