Baripada, Dated: 28-10-2025 Report by Gourdas giri As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, being observed from October 27 to November 2, an awareness rally was organized today in Baripada, with the participation of students from various educational institutions and trainee athletes from sports hostels. The rally started at 8 a.m. from the District Collector’s Office and moved through the main streets of the town. The event was jointly organized by the District Administration and the Baripada Vigilance Unit. The rally was flagged off by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Shri Dukhbandhu Nayak. Speaking on the occasion, the ADM stated that the main objective of the rally was to create awareness among people from all walks of life about the need to eradicate corruption from society. He emphasized that corruption can only be eliminated through collective participation, and this year’s theme for the observance is “Combating Corruption: Our Collective Responsibility.” During the rally, students carried placards with various educational and awareness messages related to anti-corruption and raised slogans promoting honesty and integrity. They spread the message that every citizen should raise their voice against corruption and help build a corruption-free society. Participants also highlighted that offering or accepting bribes, gratifications, or any undue advantage in exchange for services is a criminal offense. They appealed to the public to ensure transparency in all their actions to help build a clean and healthy society, and urged everyone to stay away from corrupt practices. Among those present were Inspector Bikash Kumar Swain of the Baripada Vigilance Unit, District Information and Public Relations Officer Bikash Ranjan Mohanty, District Physical Education Officer Bhagirathi Mallik, Sports Hostel Superintendent Abanimohan Mohanty, Teacher Deepak Kumar Ram, along with teachers and faculty members from various educational institutions.
