A PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi ceremony was held today in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The event was inaugurated virtually by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, the 21st installment of the PM-Kisan scheme was directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts through the virtual medium by the Prime Minister. Out of more than 9 crore farmers across the country, 2,37,712 farmers from the district benefited from this scheme. The PM-Kisan scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, aims at the economic welfare and development of farmers.

Respected MLA Baripada Mr prakash soren, respected zillaparisad Bharati Hansdah, CDAO mayurbhanj, Deputy director Horticulture Mr Tankodhar kalo, and honorable MLA Bangiriposi Sanjoli Murmu, Sr scientists Dr Sanghamitra Pattnayak are present this program, Miss sanjoli Murmu comes from an Adivasi farming family. Today on the occasion of PM Kisan Diwas, she attended, The largest agricultural research centre in Mayurbhanj district, which falls under her constituency. She has always shown compassion and support towards farmers. She stated that in the coming days, she will continue to extend support in every field so that farmers can achieve success in their agricultural activities. She highly appreciated the achievements of Dr. Sanghamitra Pattanaik, the senior scientist working in this agricultural centre, as well as the work done by all scientists in her team. The PM-Kisan Scheme is a government initiative that provides financial assistance to farmers across India. Under this scheme, farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, which is directly deposited into their bank accounts. Today, our respected Prime Minister has released the 21st installment to 34 lakh farmers across Odisha. A total of ₹700 crore has been deposited into farmers’ accounts today.
