Rairangpur, 15/12 Report by Gourdas giri The Jodapokhari Canal bridge under Bijatala Panchayat of Bijatala Block in Mayurbhanj district is in a critical and hazardous condition. As the bridge is very old and has not been repaired for a long time, it has become unsafe. Local intellectuals have warned that when heavy vehicles pass over the bridge, it shakes severely, raising fears that a serious accident could occur at any moment. Despite the poor and alarming condition of the bridge, hundreds of heavy vehicles continue to cross it every day, putting lives at risk. Although political leaders and government officials frequently travel on this road, no one appears to be paying attention to the bridge’s deteriorating condition. The MASA organization’s District President Ram Murmu, District Secretary Hadibandhu Tudu, Bamanghati President Sunil Soren, Secretary Masang Hembram, Organizational Secretary Jagannath Murmu, Bamanghati Vice President Gajendra Soren, Joint Secretary Anadi Singh, and Pith Soren have informed that they will submit a memorandum to the Sub-Collector, demanding necessary action regarding the bridge.
