
Malkangiri, 27/4/26: A joint public hearing camp has been held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Arvind Rajashirke in the premises of Khairput Block Podaghat Village Panchayat Office. Chief Development Officer and District Council Executive Officer Dasharathi Sarabu, Sub-District Magistrate Duryodhan Bhoi, Bankhand Officer Sai Kiran and Additional Superintendent of Police Rashmi Ranjan Captain were prominently present in the hearing of the complaint and heard the public’s concerns. The camp was presided over by Additional District Collector Pritam Deta and block videos, tehsildars and officers of all line departments were present. A total of 69 complaints were heard in the camp, including 10 individual and 59 village-based issues. Special campaigns were organized to provide various services to the public in the camp. It provided important services like provision of assistive devices to the disabled, health check-ups, sanction of new allowances in Madhubabu Pension Scheme, resolution of land lease issues and financial assistance from Red Cross Fund. On this occasion, the District Collector said that our main aim is to bring the administration to the people’s hearts, so that every eligible beneficiary can get the benefits of government services and their problems can be solved quickly. The people of Podaghat and surrounding areas were very excited to see the administration on their side. According to the villagers, earlier they had to go to the district head office for minor work, but now they are saved a lot of time and expense as senior officials come to the village to listen to the problems. Correspondingly, panchayat level grievance redressal camps have been held in other blocks and grievance redressal has been successfully completed under the chairmanship of additional district administration in Sadar Mahkuma.
