Malkangiri, 7/4/26: A construction workers registration, renewal and awareness camp has been successfully completed at Padmagiri Gram Panchayat under Malkangiri Block in collaboration with Odisha Construction and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board of the State Government and District Administration. Assistant Labor Officer Tanmay Mandal conducted the program organized under the direction of District Magistrate Arvind Rajashirke. A total of 340 construction workers attended the camp and 161 were immediately registered for new labor cards online. In addition, more than 81 old cards have been renewed and inactive cards have been reactivated. On this occasion, awareness was given about various schemes of the government for economic and social security of construction workers, migrant workers and unorganized workers, especially in these tribal areas. There was a detailed discussion on how workers can avail the benefits of government assistance. Local Sarpanch, Panchayat Executive Officer along with labor office staff Chinmay Rautharai, Vijay Nand Panda and Sonali Rai contributed greatly in this program. My service center staff assisted the workers in the online registration process. This philanthropic initiative of the administration has been widely appreciated in the local area.
