
Baripada has been awarded a certificate of recognition by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India for outstanding performance and exemplary contribution as the best performing district under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan. Honorable President of India Mrs. Draupadi Murmu attended the National Conference on “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan” organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in New Delhi on Friday and honored the State, District, Block and Integrated Tribal Development Organizations who have shown the best work. Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Affairs Mr. Joel Oram and Secretary of the Ministry Bibhu Nair were present on the said occasion. In this series, Hon’ble President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu awarded Mr. Hemkant Sai, District Governor, for outstanding performance in Adi Karma Yogi Campaign of Mayurbhanj district. On this occasion, District Collector Mr. Say proudly and Anandar said that this honor belongs to the entire Mayurbhanj district. The tribal people said that this is the result of the joint efforts of officials and institutions working at the grassroots level in Boholmayurbhanj district such as Adi Karmayogi, Adi ally and Adi sathi. Our aim is to include 1363 tribal populated villages of the district in this campaign to empower them and make it 100% accessible to those who need it the most, he said. According to the main objective of this campaign, the district administration is committed to make every tribal village self-reliant, developed village and to have their active participation in the development of the country as well as to ensure that the benefits of development reach the people of the tribal areas.
