The 9th district council meeting of Gaur Dasgiri Mayurbhanj district council was held today in the morning in the district council conference room under the chairmanship of the district council president Mrs. Bharti Hasda. In the meeting Hon’ble Minister, Department of Housing and Urban Development and Public Enterprises, Dr. Krishna Chandra Mahapatra, Hon’ble Lok Sabha MP, All MLAs, District Council Vice President, Mayurbhanj District Mr. Hem Kant Say, District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Mr. Dharmananda Behera Magar, District Council Member/Members, Retreat Committee Chairman/Chairman and District level officials from various government departments attended. He took an active part in the discussion regarding the progress and status of various development projects and welfare programs implemented in the various schemes of the government for the social, economic and overall development of the people in the district. In the beginning, District Council Chief Development Officer Mr. Dharmananda Behera welcomed all the attendees. The Honorable Minister in his speech said that he advised all departmental officials to work carefully to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the welfare schemes implemented in various departments of the government in the district. According to the agenda of the council, firstly, the review discussion on the compliance details taken by the relevant department officials in the last district council meeting, objections, complaints and suggestions raised by the civil society was strengthened. Later in the meeting, special attention was given to national cultivation of paddy-crops during the current dry season under the Department of Agriculture, supply of agricultural machinery at concessional rates, farmer registration, crop insurance, National Horticulture Mission under CM Kisan and PM Kisan schemes, Integrated Agricultural Development Mission, Agricultural Enterprise Scheme, concession/subsidy on electricity tariff for cold storage etc. Various Schemes implemented under Industry, National Food Security Beneficiaries under General Distribution Department, State Food Security Beneficiaries, Distribution of Ration Cards, FAQ Grain Collection during Kharif, Farmers Registration etc. Skilled Odisha under Education Department, Girls Education Integrated Education (for differently-abled children), Mid-day Meals, Scholarships, Residential under Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Tribes Related arrangements in Ashram schools etc., Number of Anganwadi Centers under Women and Child Development Department, Current Status, Mamata Prime Minister Matri Bandana, Subhadra Beneficiaries, Supplementary Education Scheme, Mission Strength, Implementation of Domestic Violence Act, etc. Under Health Department, Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Jan Kheya- Gopbandhu Jan Kheya Yojana card distribution, bio bond In the plan, there was a detailed discussion about the status of identification, the supply of medicines in the treatment plan, the development of the infrastructure of the health centers and the development and welfare schemes under various schemes. In order of discussion topics, the District Magistrate directed to take action taken by the concerned department officials on the complaints and structural proposals presented in the house by MPs, MLAs, members of the district council, retreat committee chairpersons.

In the education department, the district education officer is doing a lot of wrong in his work and he has failed somehow in managing the education district. But the officer could not answer the question. A lot of questions were raised about the turnover of teachers and failure in monitoring. In the same way, there is a problem in the health sector as well. The district medical officer promised to improve it in the Mayurbhanj district and in the next few days, it will be improved in a speedy manner and will provide proper health services.
