Kalahandi Makund Naik :-(Fast News Odisha) 11/11/2025 In order to comply with the Savings Act, the District Savings and Financial Services Department organized an awareness camp on financial literacy and cyber crime under the chairmanship of Assistant Director District Savings and Financial Services Vivekananda Mahanand for senior citizens and pensioners at Sadbhavna Assembly House in the office of District Collector today. Additional District Treasury Officer Pradeep Kumar Malik, District Information and Public Relations Officer Haldhar Nial, District Sports Officer Ramesh Chandra Padhir, District Physical Education Officer Roop Singh Raut, District Youth Officer Nehru Youth Center Prasanna Meher, IIC, Cybercrime, Sarvesvar Mohanty, DOP, PLI, Abhisek Panda participated in the program as the guest of honor and highlighted financial literacy and cybercrime. He gave information on how to save his savings safely through National Bank, Post Office without falling into any money laundering or chit fund fraud. The officials of the postal department informed about how to open the savings account of various schemes available through the post office and take advantage of it. The guests also suggested how to be aware of cyber crime now and how to be more vigilant while using your smart phone. District President of Retired Government Employees Union Sharat Chandra Naik, Retired Jail Superintendent Premanand Bagh, retired government officials, pensioners, barrists and civil servants participated in it. The program was conducted by Assistant Director District Small Savings Department Mr. Mahanand, while District Information and Public Relations Officer Mr. Nial thanked everyone at the end.
