Koraput 12.11 () National Folk Festival Parva- 2025 has been launched. After worshiping at Thousand Shivling Temple from Kutunipadar under Lakshmipur block, Parva lit the torch and came out in a huge torch procession from the temple and approached the inauguration stage. Koraput MLA Raghuram Fish, Pattangi MLA Ramachandra Kadam, Lakshmipur MLA Sahalif Sawanta, Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, District Council President Sasmita Meleka attended the ceremony presided over by Koraput District Collector and District Culture Council Chairman Manoj Satyavan Mahajan. Parva posters and stickers were unveiled by the guests on the occasion. The guests on the stage gave their speeches about Parbar Gurum Gatha. The Parbar, which was started in 1996 to give a platform to the hidden talent of the district through the festival, has brought success in many aspects, said Lakshmipur MLA Shalvi Santhao District Council President Sasmita Meleka. Among others, Laxmipur Chairperson Shuai Kulesika, Deputy Chairperson Aarti Kuldeep, Kusumguda Sarpanch Indra Panjia, former MPs Jayaram Pangi and Jin Hikka and representatives of Koraput and Nabarangpur MPs were present. Koraput Deputy District Collector Premlal Hial proposed vote of thanks. District Culture Officer Suryakant Behera and Lakshmipur Video Sabyasachi Behera and block staff attended and managed. Administrative officers and MLAs were seen dancing to tribal music. The exhibition fair was inaugurated by the guests. Earlier this morning at Nishanimunda, Koraput, the members of the parva organizing committee offered prayers to Gramdevi. Koraput MLA Raghuram Fish, District Magistrate Manoj Satyaban Mahajan, Koraput Town Council Chairman Lalat Ranjan Sethi, Additional District Magistrate Tapan Kumar Naik, District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Benudhar Shabar, Koraput Deputy District Magistrate Premlal Hial, District Culture Officer Suryakant Behera were present.
