Malkangiri, 13/11/25: Today District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay visited Andrahal and Tusheipada villages of Bandaghati in Khairput block. He stressed the importance of improving the overall development and lifestyle of the area. During his visit, he directed the officials to take steps to make Andrahal village a model village. The District Magistrate directed to develop this area as a major tourist attraction and to develop Saru waterfall and construction of hanging pole in that area. Banda directed the officials to improve village roads, street lighting system and set up a cashew processing unit to provide basic amenities to the people. Asking the people of the area to provide livelihood related to animal husbandry and also overseeing the ongoing work of PM Janman Yojana, the District Governor also visited Ambalibeda and Naringijhola villages of Korukonda block. During the visit, the District Governor emphasized on the development and tourism of the area. To develop Naringijhola as a tourist destination, the District Magistrate ordered the construction of tribal cottages, view-points and boating facilities.
