Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): The coffee garden that gave special recognition to Daringbadi block in Baliguda subdivision of Kandhamal district as a tourist area has now gone into the hands of the block administration. Video Prithiranjan Rath said that on the first day itself, more tourists visited the coffee garden than Hillview Park and more money was collected from Hillview tickets. He said, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sanjasru Development Trust and Baliguda Upazila Pranitha Das. The Coffee Garden Soil Conservation Department was present in the said meeting. It was handed over to the block administration on the orders of the district administration. For the first time, tickets were collected by the block administration and the trust from Tuesday and its earnings on the first day itself is said to be a good sign from Hillview. On Wednesday morning, BDO Prithiranjan Rath, Assistant Executive Engineer Sanjay Rath visited the major coffee plantations and said that the conversion and development work is planned. The coffee garden will be completely cleaned and regular cleanliness will be maintained, said Bidyo. Similarly, the administration will take steps for the basic facilities of the tourists, Bdio said. It was revealed that even though the coffee garden was given special status to Daringbadi, its maintenance was not being done properly. But the officers who joined before him were accused of misappropriating the ticket funds collected from the tourists while not improving the coffee garden. In this, Baliguda Upazilapal and Kandhamal District were killed. After this, the administration is asking to take over the Duluri pine forest as well. District administration and CDO Shambhunath Nandi has expressed in a response that this will help to develop the Duluri economy.
