Kalahandi: (Makund Naik) Bhavanipatna:- Teacher is revered as God in Indian culture. A teacher is the one who builds a healthy society in the classroom and is trustworthy. It is not acceptable for the teacher to fall in love with another person. Nirlam Chandra Naik, Chairman of Lakhiram Agarwal College of Behera Village, Dharmagarh Block has written such a tainted chapter. It is reported that the married chairman has been having physical relations with a relative of his for more than a year by keeping a married woman in a rented house in Bhavanipatna with the promise of marriage. A few days ago, the concerned principal, with the help of some of his associates, forgot to tell the victim to go out and left her in her ex-husband’s village.
Even after stopping the communication with the victim, the victim was not of Koo Kool and filed a case against the accused principal and his accomplices in Jayapatna police station on the 9th. Jayapatna Police Station Case No. 206/2025 Section 69,49,351(2) Due to the registration of the said case in BNS, it is known that the present accused have appeared before Odisha High Court for anticipatory bail. It is sad that the police did not arrest the accused even after fifteen days of the case, so the victim told the media that if they are not arrested immediately, they will be forced to commit suicide. The main accused in this case, Nirlam Chandra Naik, being the chairman of an educational institution, engaging in such unethical work is being discussed as a matter of shame both in the family and in the intellectual circles. However, the family of the victim is preparing to make a public appeal in front of the SP office for justice, as the Jayapatna police are far from arresting the accused. It remains to be seen what tangible steps the district education department and the police will take in the coming days.
