Baripada: 22-09-2025 Today, a program related to “Healthy Women, Strong Family” has been organized by District Health Society at Murgabadi Urban Primary Health Center under Baripada Municipality. Honorable Rajya Sabha MP Mrs. Mamata Mahanth attended the said program under the patronage of Additional District Collector Mr. Netrananda Mallik and inaugurated the program as the chief guest. In the beginning, DMRCH Elena Samal welcomed all the participants and explained the purpose of the campaign. On this occasion, the Chief Guest said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary concept of “Strong Family” is an innovative effort to prioritize the well-being of women in the family. He mentioned that the nation will be strong only when the family is strong. The campaign will provide girls and women of all ages with access to comprehensive health check-ups and health services. Screening of non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, malaria, anemia, sickle cell, thalassemia, health check-up of pregnant women and age wise vaccination will be done. Along with this, awareness will be created on menstrual hygiene and reducing oil and sugar in food. Every woman and girl is advised to protect themselves and their families by participating in this campaign which will run from 17th September to 2nd October 2025. This service will be available at the nearest Ayushman Healing Temple, Group Health Center and Anganwadi Centre. So advised to take full advantage of it. Many other guest speakers also gave thoughtful comments highlighting the various beneficial aspects of the campaign. In the program held under the supervision of District Chief Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Kishore Kumar Acharya, DMO Da Mans Jakpat, AD PHO(VBD) Dr. Vijay Kumar Das, DPH and DA Subas Naik, ADPHOD DA Sunanda Mishra, State Program Manager Adita Pradhan, State Senior Adviser DA Vijay Swamy, DPM NHM Anil Kumar Mohanty, District VBD Adviser Tapan Kumar Sahu and others were present.
