Baripada 19/11 (PNS) On the occasion of the 72nd Nikhil India Cooperative Week, Mayurbhanj District Cooperative Festival was held at the local Martyr’s Memorial Bhavan in Baripada. Baripada MLA Prakash Soren was the chief guest at the festival organized under the patronage of Sub-Cooperative Societies, Subramanyam Mohanty, President of Mayurbhanj Central Co-operative Bank was the chief guest, Additional District Magistrate Netranand Mallick, DDM Smarak Mohanty of NABARD, Senior Assistant Superintendent Tushar Kumar Kanti Mohanty, Basant Naik, Sukuram Singh, Distt. Pradeep Upadhyay, President of the Co-operative Union, attended and said that Co-operatives are the source of social and economic development. On this occasion, distinguished co-operative Lakshmi Sahu was specially felicitated and meritorious students of school and college level competitions were awarded. The program was attended by district cooperative workers, members of the management council, farmers and officers of various departments, while Senior Assistant Nibandhan Basant Kumar Naik expressed his thanks. At the beginning of the program, the famous puppet dance was performed by the Uttarasahi Theater Institute.
