Migrant worker awareness camp, a day for girls, a day for unborn child, a day for animals, a day for birds, etc. have been held in Chitiaguda village panchayat of Nuapada district Sinapali block. In this ceremony held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Madhusudan Das, Bankhand Officer Aziz Khan, District Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua, Deputy District Magistrate Surmi Soren, CDM and Dr. Dhaneshwar Sethi, VD Karmi Oram, Tehsildar Upanjali Majhi, Block Vice President Meena Ghibela, Local Sarpanch Ranjita Panas were the chief guests l In the ceremony the District Magistrate held the newborn baby girl Sreesanshu in his arms and wished her a bright future. She gave gifts to her parents to plant new saplings. Vegetables, animal food and various gifts were presented to the guests l The village of Chattiaguda was filled with joy for today’s unique event l Anganwadi workers and students performed beautiful cultural dances l District Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua welcomed everyone and conducted the meeting l The guests and various district level officials attended the camp and informed about the various departmental outreach schemes for labor farmers, women and public. Addressing everyone, the District Collector said that no man or woman of this panchayat should go to another state as a migrant laborer. The laborers who contributed more were felicitated with saplings l In a day for birds programme, the District Governor, Bankhand officers and all the guests planted trees along with providing food and earthen pots for the birds. Finally, Sarpinch thanked everyone.
