
Baripada – 15/09/2025, at the local circuit house, the workers of the Mayurbhanj Teachers’ Coordinating Committee met the Honorable Center Shipahalantra Dharmendra Pradhan and the State Education Minister Nityananda Gond and presented a demand letter on the various problems of the teachers. The Odisha Government Education Minister Nityananda Gond and the Housing and Urban Development Minister Dr. Krishnachandra Mahapatre and the MPs and MLAs were requested to reconsider the said demands. The demands were 1- Teachers who were employed before 2011 should not be forced to take the TET exam, 2- Regularization of 6-year fixed appointment of teachers employed since 2001, 3- Employment of at least 3 teachers in primary schools, 4- Dismissal of teachers from non-teaching work, 5- Giving old pension instead of new pension. The honorable minister promised to take appropriate steps to resolve the demands.
