Union Minister Shri Pradhan, after arriving at Balasore station this morning, left for Mayurbhanj Baripada to participate in government and social programs with salary. Shri Pradhan was welcomed by ordinary citizens and activists at many places including Baleswar, Remuna, Ladasahi, Morda and Betanti. During his visit, Shri Pradhan inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various projects in Barpida. The Union Minister launched the administrative building development of ‘Mayurbhanj Athletic Association’ in Baripada, the Chou Pendal project in Baripada and the Jubilee Park and Chain Dam in Baripada. On this, Mr. Pradhan said that the government is planning a double engine for the development of Mayurbhanj district. The administrative building of ‘Mayurbhanj Athletic Association’ at Baripada is an important step towards promoting our young talents and developing sports infrastructure. The symbol of Mayurbhanj’s cultural tradition is Chuu dance. The area adjacent to the Baripada Chau Pendal will be improved. In the coming days, the project will provide a beautiful infrastructure for other cultural events including folk dance. Renovation of Jubilee Park and Chain Dam at Baripada in Mayurbhanj will enhance the beauty of the city and make the place a major tourist hub. In Baripada, the community members participated in the traditional dance ‘Karma Nach’ and expressed their happiness.
