Jharsuguda, 21.11 (Fast News Odisha) The members of the social service organization Team Save have collectively volunteered to clean Pahadeshwar Baba’s hill temple premises in Jharsuguda city. The administration has been informed to clean the liquor bottles, gutkha strings, plastic paper etc. lying around in the temple premises and not to make the area a shelter for the underprivileged. The center of faith and belief of thousands of people, Pahadeshwar Temple attracts people not only for the temple but also for its natural beauty and its calm and clean environment. On Friday morning, the temple premises were cleaned by members of Team Save Jharsuguda, a leading social service organization in the city. Along with the hill temple premises, the team members today also cleaned the rest area built under the nearby water tank for devotees visiting the temple. However, during the sweep, the team members also found hundreds of empty liquor bottles, cough syrup bottles and other intoxicants. The members said that the quiet and clean environment of the hill temple is gradually becoming a paradise for anti-social devotees. Some people have turned this faith center into a drug addiction. Women, children and other devotees regularly visit the temple premises every morning and evening. People also come to the temple premises for exercise and yoga, and the presence of such anti-social elements makes temple visitors feel insecure. The party members have demanded the district administration to provide a permanent police station in the hill temple premises and install CCTV in the entire temple premises to prevent any untoward incident in future and keep the temple premises clean and safe for the general public.
