Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): Kandhamal District Magistrate has taken a big step in the incident of throwing an eyeball in the eyes of a child. Kandhamal District Magistrate suspended the headmaster of Sevasham School, Salaguda, Firingia Block, Kandhamal district. Since the head teacher was absent on the day of the incident, major action has been taken. The District Collector said that the investigation will continue as to who threw it and why.
The eye of the child was thrown while sleeping in the hut. Seven students are undergoing treatment at the district head hospital while one has been discharged. For information, the Firingia Block Salaguda Sevashram, which is run under the District Welfare Department, conducts classes from 1st to 7th standard. 40 students and 100 female students are living in Sevashram Hostel. On Thursday night, the students went to their dorms after eating. Most of the students were sleeping. At this time, some students of the fourth and fifth classes put Fabquik eight on the eyelids of 8 classmates. By the time the students woke up in the morning, they did not open their eyes. The incident came to light as they burst into tears. The teacher and matron took the sick student to medical aid at around 9 am. A student’s eyes were opened there. Seven other students were seriously ill. Salaguda Sarpanch Rohit Kaher took them to Phulwani District Hospital in his car. Phulbali MLA along with departmental officials reached Malik Hospital and assessed the health condition of the sick students. All students have pain and swelling in their eyes when their eyes are open. It was alleged that such a tragic incident happened because the head teacher did not stay in the school at night. Sarpanch Rohit said that if he is not replaced immediately, the panchayat residents will lock the school. When asked to the District Medical Officer Rabinarayan Mishra, he said that all are being treated in the eye department of the district main hospital. If necessary, he will be sent out for further treatment as per the doctor’s advice. Meanwhile, the villagers and parents surrounded the school on Saturday morning. The villagers have demanded strict action against the school authorities for their irresponsibility. District Mars Officers, Mars Extension Officers are reaching out and talking to the people. On the other hand, the villagers say that the head teacher has not been seen since the incident. This incident has now become a topic of discussion in the district.
