Baripada on 13-09-2025 today a program related to the distribution of project work has been held at the local Kalyan Mandap in Baripada Municipality Anukully. Honorable Minister, Housing and Urban Development and Public Enterprises, Dr. Krishnachandra Mohapatra attended as the chief guest while Hon’ble MLA, Baripada Mr. Prakash Soren, Upanagar Paluka Sam Das, Executive Officer Mr. Devi Prasad Raut attended as the guest of honour. On this occasion, the Honorable Minister said that in the well-known camp held last April, based on the various complaints of the residents of Baripada and providing access to the basic needs of the people, various types of 62 projects have been approved by the government for improvement work in various wards of Baripada city under the urban development plan and the government has also approved the necessary funds for these projects. As the tender process of these projects has been completed, the work orders are being distributed to the relevant organizations for their construction work today. Once the construction of these projects is completed, the residents of the city will benefit from various amenities. On this occasion, the Honorable Minister advised the concerned agencies to complete the construction of the project within the stipulated period and clarified that no substandard work and use of substandard materials will be tolerated in the construction work. If any irregularity is noticed in the work, both the parties under whose supervision the work is being carried out and the organization by which the project is being executed will be held responsible. Other guests expressed their well-intentioned views in favor of the projects and hoped that the benefits of these projects would surely be realized by the people of the city in the coming days. Later, the Honorable Minister distributed 62 different types of projects worth Rs. 16 crores to various contractors. In the end, Ms. Jem Das, Municipal Administrator, gave vote of thanks. In the program held under the supervision of Executive Officer Shri Devi Prasad Raut, various ward councilors, departmental officers and employees of the municipality were present and assisted in the management of the program.
