Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 22.11.2025 Rikh: The memorial meeting with wreath laying and puja to the statue of Shahid Laxman Naik installed in the local Shahid Laxman Naik government primary school, and the award distribution ceremony organized by the District Information and Public Relations Office of Shahid Laxman Naik has been brought up in the grand ceremony! Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia attended the memorial meeting organized by the District Information and Public Relations Office at 9.00 am as the chief guest and offered garlands to the statue. On this occasion, the distinguished guest was the Chairman, Municipality Kunu Naik, Speaker, Educationist and President, Utkal Council Vijay Kumar Choudhury, Bar Association President Siraj Ahmed, Executive Officer Municipality Ashok Kumar Karn, District Culture Officer Ghasiya Harijan Major attended the event. In the beginning, the District Information and Public Relations Officer Manoj Kumar Behera welcomed everyone and conducted the meeting with a brief introduction on the life and struggle of Shaheed Laxman Naik. Students and teachers from different schools were present at the memorial service! In their speech, the guests described the biography of Shaheed Laxman, leadership, courage, nationalism, patriotism and fearlessness in the freedom struggle and called upon the students present to be inspired by his ideals! On 21.11.2024, the chief guest awarded the certificate and trophy to the contestants of the speech competition held at the primary and high school levels related to the biography of the hero of martyrdom! Among others, Narayan Panda, Sangeeta Tripathi, Manorma Majhi, B. E. Srikanth Jani, A. B. E. Jagbandhu Soura, CRC Shubhendu Panda, CRC Manswini Panda, intellectuals of the city, media representatives were prominently present in the memorial service! Staff of Information and Public Relations Office, Phillip Mallik, Banmali Gochi, Nilambar Naik, Bighnaraj Majhi and Subrata Visoyi contributed to the successful implementation of the program!
