Kolabira, 22.11 (Fast News Odisha): Jharsuguda District Education Office, Jharsuguda Anukuliya in collaboration with Silt Bhubaneswar and Azim Premji University, Bangalore KG under Kolabira Block. A second phase five-day English language training program for professional development of high school teachers has been launched at Girls’ High School, Samasingha. In the inaugural function, Scindra Patel, Headmaster of PM Sri High School, Belpahard and in-charge of the training camp’s supervisor attended as the chief guest and spoke about the role of English language in professional development. Principal Nirmal Chand of the local school conducted the stage while Kush Sa, the instrument worker, thanked everyone. On the fifth day of the training program, Jharsuguda District Education Officer Dr. Radhakant Gartiya visited the camp and congratulated the trained teachers and students. In this five-day training program, teachers were trained in the use of English language through dramatization, role play, story telling, group discussion, etc. to meet their professional development goals. About fifty teachers and students from Sambalpur, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda districts participated in this program. On this occasion K.G. A cultural program was performed by the students of Girls High School. For its successful implementation, teachers Ashok Kumar Sahu, Manoj Menduli, Vijayalakshmi Naik, Patachandra Sahu, Savita Mahant, Vijaya Shankar Sahu, Deviprasad Biswajit Pote and Kush Sahu were engaged as instrumentalists by SILT, Bhubaneswar. The teachers and staff of the local schools provided special support for the smooth running of the training camp.
