Migrant workers awareness camp, a day for girls, a day for pregnant women, a day for animals, a day for birds etc. have been organized in Timanpur village panchayat of Nuapada district Sinapali Block. Upanjali Majhi, Block Vice President Meena Ghibela, Local Sarpanch Baikuntha Jasena attended as chief guests l In the ceremony the District Governor held the newborn baby girl Sanjita in his arms and wished her a bright future. She gave gifts to her parents to plant new saplings. The gifted guests met l The village of Timanpur was full of joy for today’s unique event l The students performed beautiful cultural dance songs l The District Magistrate welcomed everyone and conducted the meeting l He expressed the hope that if the society became sensitive and all the departmental officers fulfilled their responsibilities, the practice of migrant labor could be eradicated from the district l The District Magistrate said that no man or woman of this panchayat should go to other states as migrant labor l All working families should become millionaires by staying in the village soil and working in Mindaga scheme. Farmer brothers and sisters should cultivate and trade in a better way. The district administration will provide the necessary facilities to do this. Together we can free Timanpur Panchayat from migrant workers and plastic. On this occasion, the laborers who had worked for more than 100 days in the Mindaga scheme were felicitated by planting trees with coconuts and saffron. Likewise, the district governor honored 11 employees of TPWDL who donated blood in the blood donation camp today. In the bird day program, the district governor and all the guests planted trees along with food and earthen bowls. At the end, Sarpachi thanked everyone. Community welfare officer S. Geetha, Sinapali CDPO Urmila Mohapatra, local Sarpanch chief organized the meeting. In the meeting, the District Principal visited the home of Timanpur Samalswari High School, 10th class student Sinhalata Gahir and encouraged her to work hard and perform well in the board exams.
