
Malkangiri, 24. 11. 25: On behalf of the Government of Odisha, the Department of Education and Public Education, the Undergraduate Odisha State Schools Pogasan Competition-2025-26 has been inaugurated at Jagannathpally High School MV-7. Lok Sabha MP Balabhadra Majhi, Malkangari MLA Narsingh Madkami, Chittagong MLA Mangu Khilo, Assistant Director of Physical Education Jyoti Prakash Parida, Former Joint Instructor Sapan Kumar Jena, Additional District Magistrate Vedbar Pradhan, District Sports Officer Muna Turuk, Additional District Education Officer Manjulata Bhoi, Additional Education Officer Bhagir Behera, Ashok Kumar were the chief guests in the inaugural meeting. Parida, District Physical Education Officer Kartik Chandra Behera was present. District Education Officer Chittaranjan Manigarahi presided over the meeting. After the introduction of the guests, Lord Jagannath was garlanded and lamps were lit. Later, there was a district wari march past by participants from the state. After lighting the torch, the students of the university sang and performed welcome songs. Assistant Director Shri Parida read out the annual report. The guests expressed that this event held in the district is a blessing for the region. Yoga is a means for health, it will develop the child in all round and will lay the foundation of the child in the field of sports from an early age. The chief guest said that no one can stop a child from participating in Olympic sports. District Science Inspector Jagannath Behera, Headmaster of all Block Education Schools of the district A Ishawar Rao were prominently present in this meeting. Later, the chief guest hoisted the sports flag and made the official announcement of the Undergraduate Odisha State Schools Yoga Competition-2025-26. After the group oath recitation, a cultural program was organized by the local schools for the guests. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Rao, the Principal of the school, gave vote of thanks. After singing the National Anthem, the President adjourned the meeting. At exactly five thirty minutes, the flag was hoisted, then at six in the afternoon, the participants had an evening drinking break, after the drinking, a cultural program was held.
