
Baripada: The BJP on Monday strongly protested against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother for making rude and derogatory comments from the Congress summit during Rahul Gandhi’s “voting rights tour” in Bihar recently. In protest, BJP workers set fire to Rahul’s oil painting in public here. The protest, protest meeting and oil effigy burning organized by the Baripada city branch on Monday evening at the local traffic intersection were attended by BJP state spokesperson Kavivishnu Shetpathi and Shobhavati Ota, Sarojini Kisku, Vijay Kumar Das, Devabrat Samal, Subrata Mukhi, Tarun Palbabu, Durgamani Acharya, Sasmita Panwari, Sankarshan Panda, Sapna. Ghosh, Sanshav Ota, Shambhunath Sahu, Mansi Tripathi played prominent roles. Hundreds of party workers were seen making various noises in favor of Narendra Modi and against Rahul on this occasion.
