The demand to recognize Katagaon in Taragaon retreat under Kosagumuda block as a new block is gaining momentum now! A meeting has been organized today at Taragaon Panchayat office! In the said meeting held, all Sarpanch district council members, association members, ward members of the 10 Panchayats, including wise men, intellectuals and local people have joined in thousands! However, residents of 10 panchayats under Kosagumuda block, such as Taragaon, Ladagumuda, Atigaon, Valenga, Ekri, Motigaon, Bankuli, M. Keragaon, B.M. Semla and Temara panchayats, are always troubled because they have to travel more than 40 kilometers to go to the block office! Whether it is the work of the block office or the work of the medical center and the work of the tehsil, while the administrative facilities are not properly accessible to the residents of these areas! Sometimes the administration is ignoring these areas and the residents have been demanding! Therefore, it was discussed in today’s meeting that the above 10 panchayat residents will benefit if Kotaga is recognized as a special block! Already since 2014 Katagaon has been claiming for a special block! If the government of that time did not heed the demands of the people of the region, the people of the region did not get any benefit! Now, after the BJP government came to the center and the state, a new light has appeared to the people of the region! Therefore, it has been decided today to give a letter of demand to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to fulfill this demand! On the other hand, the people of Kodinga area in Kosagumuda block were also seen sitting with the support of some panchayats and demanding the formation of a new block in Kodinga.
