Malkangiri, 1/9/25: District Magistrate Somesh Kumar Upadhyay has launched an innovative initiative in mid-day meal in the district. After the joint complaint hearing on Monday, the District Magistrate himself visited Padmagiri SSD High School and inspected the quality of the midday meal. On this occasion, the District Collector asked how the lessons were going. He understood the difficulties of child welfare. Similarly, the District Collector visited the infrastructure of the said school and looked around the development work. The District Magistrate has given strict instructions to the officials to ensure that the students get good quality food. Now district level officials including the District Collector and other sub-district level officials will check the quality, value and taste of the midday meal. Mainly after the joint hearing camp of the District Magistrate and the District Security Officer, the officials will taste the midday meal in all the nearby schools. Today, after the hearing of the complaint in Padmagiri Panchayat, all the officials were present at various schools for lunch together with the children. The Superintendent of Defense had lunch at Basalli High Primary School, Sub-Zillapal Basasahi School. In other schools near the Panchayat like Sindharimal, Bangtiguda, Jaduguda, Billapari etc., the officials tasted the mid-day meal. District Education Officer Chittaranjan Pangrahi informed that the taste and quality of midday meal will be ensured in all the schools of the district in the coming days.
