With the aim of making this historic system memorable and people-oriented and to improve it further in the coming days, and to speed up the urban development of Baripada in various fields, Baripada Municipality has raised the Independence Day-2025 grand ceremony today. On the opening day of the festival, which will be held for 3 days, a meeting organized under the patronage of Mayor Shri Krishnananda Mohanty was attended by Mr. Hem Kant Say as the chief guest. Kumar Sahu Major attended. In the beginning, Municipal Mayor Mr. Krishnananda Mohanty gave a welcome speech and gave a speech about the day celebration and informed about the improvement work done in Baripada city and the various public welfare projects taken up to make Baripada city a healthy, beautiful and prosperous city. On this occasion, the chief guest Mr. Sai said in his speech that the cleanliness of Baripada city has to be improved visibly. In the future, efforts will be made to make the city garbage-free, plastic-free and seizure-free in the future with the cooperation of all and to make Baripada the number one city in Odisha. Manchasin and other guests also mentioned that the role of decentralization of power through self-governing system is very important for good governance in a large democratic country like India and expressed their views on making Baripada a developed city in the coming days. On this occasion, the invited guests awarded Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme to some of the beneficiaries, gave away wheel cycles to disabled persons and awarded the winners. On the occasion, the Chief Guest inaugurated the exhibition of products produced by various women entrepreneurs and toured the various stalls. Today’s program was attended by all the municipal councilors, officers, members of SGH group, Swachh Sathi and the workers of various departments of Paur Paulika and conducted the program smoothly. However, it will be celebrated for 3 days with various programs and various cultural programs will be held in the evening. Hon’ble Minister, Housing and Urban Development, Hon’ble MP Rajya Sabha, Hon’ble MP (Lokshak) Mayurbhanj and Hon’ble MLA Baripada are scheduled to attend the Education Day.
