Kalahandi: 3/12/25; (Fast News Odisha);-Government has facilitated many types of business, and has imposed many rules for all of them. True, but its reverse has been seen in Baner village, Ranjan Rice Mill in Baner village, Jayapatna Block, Kalahandi district has been found to be directly violating the government’s rules. Ranjan rice mill waste has been dumped in its own EPT yard and dumped at many places outside the open mills, there have been reports of dissatisfaction among the local residents, the current status of compliance of the mills with CPCB/OSPCB guidelines for control of water pollution by the government i.e. cyclone/pulse jet bag filter, ETPs for each rice mill. Meanwhile, Ranjan Rice Mill in Baner village is violating the rules, which is likely to increase the environmental pollution and increase the risk to the people living in the area as well as the commuters. But Ranjan Rice Mill does not shy away from frequent violations of the rules, the victims have complained, this raises suspicions and Ranjan Rice Mill does not have any type of Cyclone/Pulse Jet Bag Filter, ETP to control water pollution. It remains to be seen what steps are being taken by the government and the administration after the news.
