Kalahandi Makund Naik:-(Fast News Odisha) 03.12.2025 Kalahandi Art, Culture, Tradition and Brotherhood Festival Kalahandi Festival Ghumura-2026 A preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector and Chairman District Culture Council Pawar Sain Prakash today at Sadbhavna Assembly Hall in District Collector’s office. At the beginning of the meeting, the District Magistrate welcomed everyone as every year, the upcoming 28th Kalahandi festival Ghumur will be celebrated in a grand ceremony from 14.01.2026 to 17.1.2026 at Lalbahadur Shastri Stadium Bhavanipatna and from 15.01.2026 to 17.01.2026 at Dharmagarh. Wished full help and cooperation from all. Various committees, sub-committees and cultural programs needed to make the district’s cultural festival Kalahandi festival Ghumura smooth and beautiful were discussed. Like the previous year, the upcoming Kalahandi Festival-2026 has been decided to organize various programs at the gram panchayat, block and urban, district level on the dates fixed by the District Culture Council. The meeting discussed bringing top cultural troupes from the state and outside the state for public entertainment. In order to organize the upcoming Kalahandi festival in a grand ceremony more beautifully than last year, the people present in the meeting, Jambira expressed their opinion. Due to the danger of public disturbance in the city during the festival, the District Governor ordered the relevant departmental officials to make necessary road repairs, cleaning and lighting arrangements. District Collector Mr. Prakash suggested that all the committee members involved in the celebration should take the help and cooperation attitude of the district to develop the hidden, cultural, literature, culture and talent of the district along with the tom work. Niharendra Panda, District Culture Officer Vivekananda Mahanand, MP Kalahandi representative Jayashan Naik, Sadar MLA representative Nisat Sahu, VJP District President Ziyor Kishore Pod, Rajya Sabha MP Bhandaswar Mahapatra, Kalahandi Nisat Ghumura- 2025 sub-committee workers, civil servants, civil servants, district level officials, various media representatives participated and gave their thoughtful opinions. Discussions were held to prepare the plan of celebration by taking into account everyone’s views.
