Baripada 8/12 (Fast News Odisha) It has been reported that another college student was seriously injured in the stabbing of a college student. Such a rare incident happened in Baiganbadiya B.B. College under Kuliyana police station of Mayurbhanj district. Prahllad Bindhani was a serious student. He is a second year student of U.S. Department of Commerce. He has been shifted to Cuttack SCB Medical Center in critical condition. The accused student is a second-year student of the Department of Arts. However, according to the information of Prakash Goswami, police officer of Kuliana police station, it is known from the preliminary investigation that the stabbing was based on a love affair. A student studying in the art department was in love with a student of the same college. After the relationship broke up, the said student befriended another from the commerce department. The student, who had failed in love, got upset and brutally attacked Prahallad with a sharp knife in the classroom today. Prahllad was stabbed in the stomach. He was initially admitted to Baripada PRM Medical Center in critical condition. After that he was shifted to Cuttack SCB Medical Center as his condition became critical. The college authorities reported this to Kuliana police station. On receiving the news, the police reached the college and detained the accused student for further questioning. Meanwhile, the agitated villagers reached the college and locked the gate. Police force has also been deployed in the college premises in case of law and order situation.
