An annual sports event has been held at Kuliabandha Government Higher Primary School, Nuapada Sadar Block. Mr. Naresh Chandrakar, Principal of Jan Malas Higher Secondary School was present as the Chief Guest in the inaugural function presided over by School Principal Kishore Kumar Parida and signaled the start of the competition by showing the green flag. On this occasion, children’s batika, sub-junior, junior and senior categories of running, long throw, high throw, rush throw, javelin throw, discus throw, slow cycle, water slide, puchi, frog throw, musical chair competition were held. Sarpachi Santhram Pandey of Kuliabandha Panchayat attended the graduation ceremony as the chief guest. Senior citizens of the village, Hiram Lal Patel, Lohit Shabar, Vishwaswar Bemal, were present as chief guests of honour. The winners were awarded by the guests. Arjun Majhi, former sports teacher of Janmangal Higher Secondary School conducted the sports competition. School teachers Nanta Majhi, Ravi Shankar Bhoi, Hrishikesh Sahu, Padan Kumar Singh, Manoj Kumar Bariha, Shalvi Kumar Deo and Sameer Kumar Behera made this program a success. In the end Ravi Shankar Bhoi, the school teacher gave vote of thanks.
