Nuapada District Women’s Empowerment Center and District Social Welfare Department, Nuapada Anukuliya, a one-day training camp related to Prohibition of Sex Act-1961 was held today at the local Sadbhavana Assembly House. District Collector Madhusudan Das joined the training meeting and inaugurated it. He called upon everyone to stop the abominable practices like prostitution in the society and bring changes in the mental level and social system. District Social Welfare Officer S. Geetha gave the welcome address introducing the guests and informed about the purpose of the training camp. In this training camp, DLSA Secretary Nabanita Das, CD MO Dr. Dhaneshwar Sethi, CWC Chairperson Dr. Fanindam Deo, Advocate Narayan Prasad Joshi, Dr. Umakant Meher, Women and Security Officer Manjulata Shukla, District Coordinator, Women Empowerment Center Ashish Ranjan Khamari Major participated in the discussion l Objectives, Objectives, Amendments, Provisions of Prohibition of Sex Act and Role and Duties of Prohibition Officer and Police, FIR Rujju, The officials highlighted on charge sheet filing, judicial process, creating awareness and strategies for women empowerment, victim protection, assistance and inter-departmental coordination, etc. All ANC executive officers, various college presidents, marriage registration officers, Vidyo Komna, all program officers, all CDPOs, police officers, health officers of all group health centers, other departmental officers, NGO workers, secretaries of DLF and BLF, clergymen of various communities, Sakhi center workers, Shakti Sadankarta workers, family counseling center officers, PLVs attended the training camp. Narad Chhattar, Sanjay Bandichor, Ipsita Rajput, Ramakant Sethi and all other staff members of Women Empowerment Center helped in conducting this training camp. Finally, District Coordinator Ashish Ranjan Khamari gave vote of thanks.
