Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 18.12.2025 Rik: On behalf of Association for Voluntary Action at Nabarangpur Mission Shakti House, a 100-day Child Marriage Free India Campaign training camp was held today under the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer and Child Rights Associate Saurabh Upadhyay with the relevant departments of CMPO and PLV. Done! Additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Khuntia attended as the chief guest and lit the lamp! District Social Welfare Officer Draupadi Kanhar highlighted how everyone came together with the aim of the program to eradicate child marriage and make all children aware of their rights! Security officer Rama Patnaik gave the details of the 100-day program! Ram Prasad Patnaik, Vijay Kumar Patnaik, Project Coordinator, President Modan Krishna and Uma Shatanami were present as the main trainers. As child marriage is prevalent in Nabarangpur district, the main objective of this awareness camp is to make a sincere effort to rid the district of child marriage! The trainers gave training on the causes, prevention and prevention of child marriage! Kishori Patnaik, officer of Onestop Center, participated as the chief guest and discussed the issue of child marriage being punishable up to two years in jail and a fine of up to one lakh rupees, and highlighted various aspects of the law! Saurabh Upadhyay informed everyone about this national campaign from 27th November to 8th March for 100 days! Nabarangpur CDPO discussed the ill effects of child marriage!
