
Kolabira, 25.12 (Fast News Odisha): Fortis Chemicals Pvt Ltd, based in Kapaguda under Raghunathpalli Retreat, Kolabira Block, has signed a technology licensing agreement with CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) for a modern “Two-pack on-site pothole filling mix” technology. The agreement was signed at CSIR Science Centre, New Delhi. On this occasion, Director General of CSIR and Secretary of DSIR Dr. N. Kaliselvi, Director of CSIR-CRRI Prof. Anana Parida, and Senior Principal Scientist of CSIR-CRRI Dr. Kara was present as a teacher. This patented, emulsion-based and solvent-free cold-mix technology enables fast, long-lasting and environmentally-friendly road pothole repair. This greatly reduces carbon emissions compared to traditional hot-mix methods. As per the agreement, Fertis Chemicals has been given exclusive rights to manufacture and market this technology across India. Fortis Chemicals Odisha also participated in the 84th Indian Roads Congress (IRC) Annual Series held at Bhubaneswar. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Mr. Pitin Gadkari was present at the event and announced ₹1,000 crore worth of road projects for Odisha. The collaboration is expected to promote sustainable, low-cost road maintenance solutions that will help build safer and more durable road infrastructure nationwide.
