Kalahandi Makund Naik: (Fast News Odisha) on 27.12.2025 Kalahandi festival Ghumura 2026, the herald of art, culture, literature, hidden talent, brotherhood of Kalahandi district, will be held from 14th to 17th January as every year from 14th to 17th January at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Patna and 15th to 17th January at Dharmagarh. A grand ceremony will be held at the grounds. On this occasion, Gram Panchayat level opening ceremony has been held today on behalf of Kamthana Gram Panchayat of Bhavanipatna block, at Durgamandap locality. The program was presided over by District Magistrate Pawar Sain Prakash as chief guest of Lok Sabha member Kalahandi Malvika Devi, guest of honor was Additional District Magistrate Tanmay Kumar Darwan, Chief Development Officer District Councilor Memmay Padhira, District Culture Officer Vivekananda Mahanand, District Information and Public Relations Officer Haladhar Nial, District Sports Officer Ramesh Chandra Padhira, Vidya Chandan Kumar Bhoi, Local Sarpanch Loknath Durga, District Youth Officer Mai Bharat Prasanna. Meher, Shantanu Kumar Behera, Chairman of the Festival Promotion Committee, Har Jinder Singh, Convenor of the Committee, Member Swatchan Patar, Devendra Bishi Major Ghumura logo and posters were present in the event. The Chief Guest Mrs. Deo called upon everyone to take the lead in developing the hidden talents of Kalahandi while preserving the great cultural tradition of Kalahandi. Kalahandi Festival Ghumura Gram Panchayat, the spokesperson for the development of art, culture and brotherhood of the district, advised everyone to cooperate in the successful implementation of the program at the block and district level and to enjoy the cultural program to be held in brotherhood. Cultural programs were held for the entertainment of the public on the occasion. Local Sarpanch Loknath Durga gave the welcome address while Vidyo Chandan Bhoi thanked everyone at the end. All the programs were conducted by Jagannath Tripathi. Eminent persons were honored on this occasion.
