Baripada 28/12 (Fast News Odisha) State Minister of Public Education Nityananda Gond came on a two-day visit to Mayurbhanj and attended the Hirak Jayanti of Thakurmunda Government High School and Golden Jayanti of Bishol Government High School of Udala Upakhand and spent the night at Baripada Circuit House. Today, in a program organized by the Department of Social Security and Disability Empowerment of Mayurbhanj District, laptops were distributed to 7 disabled students studying higher education and one was given a scholarship of Rs. 50,000. Housing and Urban Development Minister Krishnachandra Mohapatra, Baripada MLA Prakash Soren joined the program along with Public Education Minister. 68 CBZ teachers and 63 PCM teachers have been recruited in Mayurbhanj district while the government is continuing its efforts to fill the shortage of teachers. The government is going to fill 45,000 teacher posts in the state within the next 3 years while the process of hiring 30 LTA teachers will be completed in the next few days. Enhancing the number of students, increasing the number of inmates in tribal hostels, including mid-day meal scheme for ninth and tenth class students, Come to School campaign through child tracking scheme to check dropouts etc. Recently, it has been announced that students will travel for free under the Prime Minister’s Bus Seva Yojana. Students with disabilities said that laptops provided by the government for free can be very helpful in the field of higher education.
