
The State Bank Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (SB RSETI) of Malkangari has initiated a 20-day training program on making papad, pickle and spice powder for 29 young women and women members of Self Help Groups and various Village Forest Protection Committee areas, starting from 22nd December, 2025. In this training program, 29 women members of different blocks and panchayats of Malkangari district participated. The director of this institute Mr. Jyot Ranjan Behera was present and told the trainees how they can become self-reliant through this training, improve their financial status and make their families financially clean. Along with this, it was understood that they will be supported by the banks to provide loans at low interest rates. The training instructor Mrs. Mouna Patel highlighted the different types of papad achar masala preparation and its demand. Bipin Bihari Shetpathi, trainer of the institute attended the program and appreciated the trainees for coming forward to gain knowledge in making papad, pickle and masala powder and advised the trainees to work hard to achieve success in their life. Mr. Raj Shekhar Patnaik advised the participants to use the knowledge gained during the training so that they can generate income through selling their products and support their families. During the program, some participants shared their experiences. Mr. Behera, Director, RSETI proposed the vote of thanks.
