The 13th District Drinking Water and Sanitation Committee meeting has been held today in the local Sadbhavna House under the chairmanship of Nuapada District Collector Madhu Sudan Dash. On this occasion, the District Collector emphasized on the successful management of various projects under Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) and Rural Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Department. Similarly, Villages without external defecation, Group Sanitation Complex, Solid Waste Management, Solar Water Supply, Tubewell Platform and Sockpit, Chief Har Ghar Jal reviewed the works in this meeting. Dharua, Superintending Engineer Prahallad Sahu, Additional Executive Officer District Council Khamnidhi Bhoi, District Retreat Officer Lachman Oram, Block Development Officer, Tehsildar and other district level officials were present. After this a review meeting of various activities of the District Council was held. The District Collector emphasized on working days under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme, rural housing and investment of funds sanctioned by the Central Finance Commission and State Finance Commission towards rural retreats.
