District Development Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Nuapada District Magistrate Madhu Sudan Das in the local Sadbhavana Assembly House. Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua, Deputy District Collector Surmi Soren, District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dhaneshwar Sethi, Bankhand Officer Kendusalay, A. Madhvi Lata, APD Khamnidhi Bhoi, all district level officers, all Group Development Officers, all Tahsildars, all acquisition officers, executive officers and line department officers attended the meeting. Called for significant improvement in initiation and resolution of online files. Deputy Director Statistics, Dileshwar Dharua, presented the details of the last month’s meeting l The District Governor wanted to know how many obstacles in the development work had been solved in the past days and the progress of each department l First discussed the various problems of various tourist attractions under the tourism department such as Tikhali Dam, Godhas Falls and District Culture Bhavan and directed the departmental officers to solve them as soon as possible. He also asked the officials to take action on drain covering and removal of encroachment. Similarly, the District Recruitment Officers were called upon to train the youth aspirants in the district to participate in administrative, banking, SSC and various recruitment tests. Department, Rural Development Department, Upper Irrigation, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation, Livestock, Transport, Education, Health, Forest, Mining, Tourism, etc., were reviewed. There was a detailed discussion on the provision of land to various educational institutes, hospitals, veterinary clinics, anganwadi centers by Tahsildars and construction of their new buildings. The District Governor emphasized on the immediate provision of education, health, housing, transport, communication, infrastructure etc. to the people in the tribal areas along with the improvement of the roads in the forest areas. The District Governor called upon all the departmental officers and employees to do their work properly in their respective departments with dedicated attitude and lead the district in the path of progress by making the district green and plastic free.
