Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 05.01.2026 Rich: A two-day district-level fish and livestock fair-2026 has been organized in the local RCD high school ground! Chief Development Officer, District Councilor Biranchi Narayan Darwan presided over the inauguration program and District Governor Maheshwar Swamy joined as the chief guest! Additional District Magistrate Tapan Kumar Khuntia, District Chief Veterinary Officer Radheshyam Laik, District Suchana and Public Relations Officer Manoj Behera, District Fisheries Officer Bishnu Charan Kishan, BD and Nabarangpur Sunil Khara Pramukh were present as guests of honour. First, the CDO District Council welcomed everyone and wished for everyone’s cooperation for the successful implementation of various plans for the economic growth of the farmers! In his speech, the chief guest district governor welcomed the farmers present in the district and called them to participate in the various schemes of fisheries and livestock to grow their own finances and set an example for others! On the occasion of this inauguration program, the chief guest gave a monetary award to 04 farmers of the district. Rama Bhatra Gopalan of Papadahandi Block, Muralidhar Pujari of Umerkot Block is a fish twine producer, Swati Panagilati of Tentlikhunti Block is a chicken breeder, Anita Chetty of Papadahandi Block is a fish farmer and received an award from the chief guest! In the same way, the beneficiaries received a check of Rs. 1,08,000 for Gema Goud Gopalan of Dabugaon, Rs. The chief guest visited various departmental stalls at the fair! Farmers participated in the Farmers Science Conference! The Saregama Orchestra performed a music program for the farmers! District level officials, fish farmers from all blocks, animal husbandry, self help groups, young entrepreneurs, leading farmers, media representatives were present in the launch program! Finally, the district fisheries officer gave thanks!
