Kolabira, 17.1 (Fast News Odisha): Today, on the third day of the Udayalshmi Memorial Cricket Tournament, the Tarikela team defeated the Rengalpali team and entered the semi-finals. Today the first match was held between Tarikela and Ledimang. The Terikela team decided to bowl the toss. First, the Lady Monkey team scored only 32 runs after losing 7 wickets in the scheduled 8 overs. In reply, the Tarikela team scored 33 runs in 2.4 overs and won by 8 wickets. In this match, Pradeep was adjudged the man of the match of the Tarikela team. The second match was held between Uthimaal and Rengalpally. Toss Jini decided to bat first and collected 56 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the scheduled 8 overs. In reply, Rengalpali team won by 8 wickets after losing 2 wickets in 4.3 overs. In this match, Rengalpali became the team’s man of the match. In the third match, the third quarter final was held between Tarikela and Rengalpali teams who won both matches. In this, the swimming team decided to bowl the toss. First, the Rengalpali team collected 53 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 9 overs, while in reply the Tarikela team collected the stipulated 54 runs for the loss of two wickets in just 3.5 overs and won by 8 wickets and advanced to the semi-finals. In this match, Pappu of the Tarikela team scored 34 runs in just 11 balls, while Pradeep took 5 wickets and was considered the man of the match. Retired teacher Sanjay Guru, son-in-law of Udayanath Purohit and Lakshmi Purohit, was the guest of honor while his son Manas Purohit presented the man of the match award. Sunil, Gudu, Dhananjay, Rajat, Bhadi, Dilip, Ganesh, Prem, Loknath, Jeetendra, Anil, Bhakti and sports teacher Rajesh Patel and lecturer Sushant Das of Kolbira Maa Samleswari Club helped in conducting the games.
